The Problem:

There's an 18 year old girl named Millie McAinsh with severe ME/CFS being abused by a hospital in the UK and at risk of dying.  She was first sectioned, and ME/CFS experts had to fly in to visit her and appeal on her behalf. The section has been lifted and her mother is being allowed to see her now. But Millie is not able to eat enough to stay alive and the doctors at the hospital refuse to give her a PEJ feeding tube. A number of ME/CFS patients have recently died of malnutrition in UK hospitals because of this exact abuse.  The doctors refuse to accept a diagnosis of ME/CFS and think she has an "eating disorder" which is horrendous beyond belief. This is blatant malpractice, ignorance and abuse that will lead to Millie's death if we do not take action to stop it.

I would like to ask everyone who is able, to send a copy of
my letter to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary where Millie is being held/"treated"

Let’s FLOOD THEM with copies of this letter to make sure they actually read it! Based on their unbelievable incompetence about ME/CFS, I have serious doubts about their ability to open letters or read them.

And if the hospital knows that an international community endorses this letter that makes it much more powerful. If you are able, you can add your signature to my name, or a personal note from you. But that’s not necessary if you are too sick. *If you add a note, please keep it on message with my letter - about the reality and facts of the consequences of Millie's current treatment. Please DO NOT add attacks or offensive, angry insults to the staff, this will only invalidate my letter. Thank you*

I just wrote a new post about Hospitals killing people instead of healing or helping them. I discuss the whole situation of ME/CFS patients getting abused or killed in hospitals especially in the UK but all over the world.

It is unbelievable that this is not the first or even second time this abuse has happened to Severe ME/CFS patients in UK hospitals. There are many documented cases of deaths from Hospital care and an untold number of patients who were killed silently because they were not diagnosed or did not have help to advocate for them.
